Lead RRP Training for Contractors – Required by US EPA
All contractors that work on pre-1978 homes and disturb more than 6 square feet of paint interior or 20 square feet of paint exterior or engage in window replacements is required to be certified. This EPA Rule went into effect April 22, 2010.
Public Health and Safety, Inc. is an accredited training provider for the Renovation, Repair and Painting training for Certified Renovators. The course meets the requirements of the US EPA RRP and IDPH rules.
Per US EPA, Renovators who must receive certification prior to the Original certificate expiration date. Since PHS is not offering any 4-hour refresher courses, we will offer the 8-hour course at the 4-hour course price.

Renovation Repair & Painting Initial or Refresher Course
Current Certificate within 5 years of previous training MUST be provided to Public Health & Safety, Inc., upon entrance to the class. Students will not receive their Certified Renovator Refresher Certificate without this. Students that took their previous Initial or Refresher training at Public Health & Safety, Inc. will not need to provide a Certified Renovator Certificate.
